OnePlus 15 Teased as Flagship Leap Ahead of iPhone 17 and Galaxy S25
OnePlus fans eagerly await the OnePlus 15, teased as a significant leap ahead of the iPhone 17 and Galaxy S25. Slated for an October 2025 launch in China and early 2026 globally, the new flagship promises enhanced performance and battery life.
The OnePlus 15 is set to debut a new BOE X3 Oriental display with a 165 Hz refresh rate, a smaller panel than its predecessor, and a larger 7,000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging. Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Notably, the camera system will bid farewell to the Hasselblad partnership, instead introducing the in-house 'DetailMax Engine' for clear, realistic images. The camera module will adopt a compact square design, unlike the usual circular array.
OnePlus skipped the OnePlus 14 due to tetraphobia in East Asian cultures, following the pattern from OnePlus 3 to OnePlus 5. The OnePlus 15 is expected to retain the 50MP triple camera array from the OnePlus 13, with enhancements in the telephoto lens and image processing technology. The device is rumored to have a larger battery capacity of 7,000 mAh, the largest on a flagship smartphone in the US, promising improved battery life. The OnePlus 13, launched in January 2025, broke barriers in water resistance, a feature expected to continue in the OnePlus 15.
The OnePlus 15, with its improved NPU performance, better battery life, and enhanced camera system, is poised to be a formidable flagship. Fans can expect a compact square camera module, a larger battery, and the latest Snapdragon processor. The device is set to launch in China in October 2025 and globally in early 2026.
