Penn University extends its golf gaming ventures with the introduction of PGA TOUR Mines
In a groundbreaking move, PENN Entertainment has introduced two innovative golf-themed games as part of their multi-year partnership with the PGA TOUR. The games, PGA TOUR Blackjack and PGA TOUR Mines, are now available through select online casinos in New Jersey, Ontario, and Pennsylvania.
PGA TOUR Blackjack, launched in May 2025, was PENN’s first officially branded iGaming title with the PGA TOUR. This classic table game offers a twist with PGA TOUR-themed side bets and virtual cards, creating a unique casino experience that combines the thrill of blackjack with the excitement of golf.
The second release, PGA TOUR Mines, was unveiled on July 2, 2025. Developed by PENN Game Studios, this game offers a fresh approach to traditional casino games. Players pick tiles on a virtual grid, aiming to avoid mines while claiming prizes. The game features animated graphics, official PGA TOUR branding, and artwork from PGA TOUR courses, providing an immersive golf-themed experience.
PGA TOUR Mines is currently live in New Jersey via Hollywood Casino and in Ontario via theScore Casino. In Pennsylvania, the game can be found at theScore Casino. However, only New Jersey players can access the game on Hollywood Casino at this time.
The partnership between PENN Entertainment and the PGA TOUR also includes streaming PGA TOUR events through ESPN+. Moreover, the collaboration aims to blend sports and online casino gaming, with the debut of a PGA live betting stream branded as ESPN BET on PGA TOUR Live at the 2025 WM Phoenix Open. This service will continue at six further FedExCup events during the season.
PENN Entertainment plans to launch additional titles under this partnership as more games receive regulatory approval. These games will be accessible via the ESPN BET and Hollywood Casino apps, further integrating the PGA TOUR experience into the online gaming world.
With these launches, PENN Entertainment is expanding its golf-related betting and gaming offerings beyond traditional sports betting, offering fans a new way to engage with their favourite sport.
