Phase3D Launches Fringe Inspection for Renishaw 500Q

Phase3D has launched Fringe Inspection for Renishaw 500Q, a tool that ensures measurement accuracy and provides detailed documentation. This expansion follows successful use on other 500-series platforms and collaboration with HRL Laboratories.

Fringe Inspection uses structured light and advanced image processing to generate high-resolution heightmaps. It offers Powder Heightmap, Melted Heightmap, and True Layer Thickness for every layer, along with corresponding visual images for traditional assessment.

The tool is fully non-invasive, reversible, and installs quickly with minimal machine downtime. It's optimized for qualification to production, reducing scrap and streamlining workstreams. Fringe Inspection was developed for metal additive manufacturing, aiding powder bed fusion users.

Phase3D's CEO, Niall O'Dowd, welcomes the expansion to Renishaw 500Q. Fringe Inspection ensures accurate measurements, provides comprehensive documentation, and supports efficient production. It's now available for Renishaw 500Q and other 500-series platforms.
