Qatar Emerges as Superyacht Haven with 2025 Boat Show
Qatar is transforming into a premier superyacht destination, thanks to significant improvements in its maritime infrastructure as part of the Qatar National Vision 2030. With 700km of coastline and 1,877 berths, including 108 for yachts up to 160m, the country is poised to welcome luxury vessels.
The Qatar International Boat Show (QIBS), hosted by Qatar Airways, has played a pivotal role in this growth. Its inaugural edition in 2024 drew 23,500 visitors from 90 countries, cementing Qatar's status as a rising luxury yachting destination. The event showcased over 495 international brands, over 100 yachts, and 20 world premieres.
QIBS 2025, set for 5-8 November at Old Doha Port and sponsored by Qatar Airways, promises more of the same, displaying the latest innovations and luxury lifestyle exhibits. The show aims to highlight Qatar's rapid growth and infrastructure improvements in the maritime sector.
Qatar's strategic location and expanding maritime tourism industry make it an attractive destination for superyacht enthusiasts. With QIBS 2025 on the horizon, the country continues to solidify its position as a global player in the luxury yachting scene.
