Robinson Helicopter Company is set to launch its latest model, the R88, with deposits accepted from authorized dealers starting March 11, 2025, at Verticon. The R88 is priced at $3.3 million and is expected to appeal to a wide range of operators due to its versatility and advanced avionics.
Powering the R88 is the Safran Helicopter Engines' Arriel 2W engine, selected by Robinson for its durability and reliability, with over 60 million flight hours accumulated. The R88, with a power output exceeding 1,000 horsepower, can handle a variety of missions. It boasts a seating capacity of 10, a payload of 1,800 pounds, and a spacious cabin of 275 cubic feet. The Arriel 2W engine, designed for high performance and fuel efficiency, is a perfect match for the R88, providing a range of over 350 nautical miles and an endurance of over 3.5 hours.
