Simplified Control of Audio-Visual Systems With Four Latest Extron Network Button Panels
Extron Unveils New Network Button Panels for AV System Control
Extron, a leading manufacturer of AV (Audio-Visual) systems, has introduced the Network Button Panels (NBP) EU Series and Flex55, two new interfaces designed for flexible and efficient control of AV systems.
These compact Ethernet-connected devices offer a customizable set of buttons, LED indicators, and robust software integration options for streamlined system management.
Customizable Buttons and LED Indicators
The NBP EU Series features a configurable set of buttons, such as the NBP 108 EU with 8 buttons, which can be programmed for multiple AV system functions. Each button includes LED indicators that provide visual feedback on the status of controlled devices or functions, enhancing usability by showing real-time states like on/off or active inputs.
Network Connectivity and PoE
The panels connect through Ethernet, allowing remote control and integration with Extron control software, facilitating control over devices on the network. They also feature the convenience of PoE (Power over Ethernet), eliminating the need for separate power sources.
Integration with Extron Control Systems
Fully compatible with Extron's Global Scripter and other control platforms, the panels can be customized via Extron’s software tools to create complex control scripts and workflows tailored to specific AV setups.
Flexible Configuration
System integrators can assign functions to each button individually, set LED behavior, and configure network settings to fit unique control requirements. Customization of buttons can be done using the online Custom Button Builder application or Extron Button Label Generator software.
Compatibility and Applications
The Flex55 and EU Series Network Button Panels are designed to work with Extron control systems. They also support applications worldwide and are compatible with Flex55 modules, mounting kits, and enclosures, as well as EU junction boxes.
Easy to Use and Versatile
These new interfaces are easy to use and perform a wide variety of AV system functions, such as switching sources, adjusting volume, or triggering macros. Their ergonomic and compact design makes them suitable for different installations including classrooms, conference rooms, and control rooms.
With the NBP EU Series, users can power displays on or off, switch inputs, control volume, and more using the customizable backlit soft-touch buttons or dual-color backlit buttons. The panels offer efficiencies for command and control, providing a customizable, network-enabled interface for controlling AV devices efficiently.
