Hit the Road with the Revamped Skoda Superb iV - A Part-Time Electric Powerhouse
Skoda's Superb iV: Impressive Vehicle with Partial Electric Power
Get ready to experience a perfect blend of classic elegance and cutting-edge technology with the revamped Skoda Superb iV! This beauty from the Czech Republic boasts an improved plug-in hybrid drive that lets it travel over 100 kilometers on pure electric power – all thanks to a larger battery. And that's just the beginning!
A Timeless Classic with a Modern Twist
The Superb has been a popular name in the Czech automotive industry since 1934, and this newest version is no exception. Despite the New Russian bosses finding the earlier version too "Western" and too expensive back in 1949, the Skoda Factory reintroduced this large mid-size car in 1999, under new ownership by Volkswagen.
Fast forward to now, we're already on the sixth Superb, with the VW Passat playing a crucial role in supplying genes for the engine and interior. Yet, Skoda’s signature touch of clever details was never lost.
Electric Meets Gas – The Perfect Duo
The Superb iV boasts a powerful partnership between a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and an 85-kW electric motor. Together, they produce 150 kW/204 PS. But the real show-stopper? The battery now delivers long-distance power with 27.5 kWh, more than double that of its predecessor. This means that the internal combustion engine can go untouched for over 100 kilometers in ideal conditions – perfect for commuters and family fathers.
Spacious Interior & Exterior
The new Superb and the remaining saloon offer a roomier interior, boosting space in the rear thanks to a generous wheelbase of 2.85 meters. And if you're an estate fan within the VW community, you'll be interested to know that the new Superb offers virtually the same measurements as the new Passat, with a few tweaks to simplify production.
A New Take on Design
Slimmer headlights and taillights give the new Superb a fresh, modern look. A colored crystalline element called Crystallinium adds a unique touch to the six-sided matrix modules of the LED Matrix Headlights, creating a three-dimensional effect.
Sovereignty of Driving – Always a Priority
The shift lever of previous models has been replaced, making way for more space in front. After some getting used to, future customers will appreciate this clever design touch. Behind the steering wheel, a 10.25-inch display provides essential data, while a large central screen has grown to 13 inches.
Safety First!
The expanded range of assistance systems in the Superb iV now flagship level. In addition to existing systems, curve and intersection assistants are newly added, ensuring a safer driving experience. Series-standard is a front radar responsible for emergency braking, and up to ten airbags, including a central airbag, ensure maximum protection.
So, buckle up and dive into the world of the Skoda Superb iV – where electricity meets tradition, and comfort meets safety. It’s time to embrace the driver-friendly sedan that’s perfect for both daily commuting and long journeys!
