Sony Honda's RIDEVU Brings Blockbusters to Cars This Winter
Sony Honda Mobility Inc. (SHM) is set to revolutionize in-car entertainment with RIDEVU, an innovative platform offering hundreds of feature films from Sony Pictures Entertainment's premium content library. Scheduled for public availability in Japan this winter, RIDEVU will allow customers to stream movies like 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' and 'Joker' directly in their vehicles.
The RIDEVU platform is a product of SHM's commitment to creating mobility experiences that engage users' senses and behaviour. Customers can purchase or rent films through the RIDEVU application, transforming their commute into a cinematic experience.
Keith Le Goy, Chairman, Worldwide Distribution at Sony Pictures Entertainment, expressed excitement about the collaboration with SHM. He said, 'We're thrilled to partner with SHM to bring our premium content to their in-car entertainment platform.' SHM's Representative Director, Chairperson and CEO, Yasuhide Mizuno, also shared his enthusiasm, stating that SHM aims to deliver a variety of streaming content and exciting entertainment experiences to its customers.
With RIDEVU, SHM envisions mobility as a creative entertainment space. The platform's launch in Japan this winter will offer customers a new way to enjoy movies while on the go. This collaboration between Sony Pictures Entertainment and SHM is set to redefine in-car entertainment.
