In a significant step towards SpaceX's long-term goal of helping humanity settle Mars, the company's Starship has successfully completed Flight 10, with both the Starship and its Super Heavy booster hitting their splashdown targets. This success marks a milestone in the space exploration industry.

The upcoming test flight, the 11th for the Starship, is eagerly anticipated, although the target date has yet to be announced. As preparations continue, SpaceX is already gearing up for the next phase, the testing of Version 3 of the Starship. This new version will be approximately 10 feet taller than its predecessor, standing at a towering 408 feet (124 meters) tall.

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, has announced that Flight 11 will be the final mission for Starship Version 2. The Starship, currently situated at SpaceX's Starbase site in South Texas, is undergoing extensive pressurization and engine tests in preparation for this upcoming flight.

Meanwhile, the same prep work is being done with Super Heavy, the booster for the Starship. The Starship, known as 'Ship', has been moved to the launch pad for these tests.

If testing and development of Version 3 go smoothly, a small, uncrewed fleet of these vehicles could launch towards Mars as early as next year. This could be a big one towards helping humanity settle the Red Planet.

Eight dummy versions of SpaceX's Starlink satellites were deployed in Flight 10, further demonstrating the versatility of the Starship. As SpaceX continues to push the boundaries of space travel, the future of Mars colonisation seems to be inching closer.

Stay tuned for updates on the 11th test flight and the development of Version 3 of the Starship. The journey to Mars is well underway.
