MTN Cloud Accelerator Programme Opens Applications for 2025 Cohort
The MTN Cloud Accelerator Programme, a 12-week initiative designed to support African startups, has announced that applications for its 2025 cohort are now open. This programme, which does not disclose the number of startups it can accommodate, offers a unique opportunity for growth-stage ventures to scale their businesses, leveraging MTN’s platforms and infrastructure.
The programme supports startups in various sectors, including fintech, health-tech, ed-tech, agri-tech, and more. To be eligible, startups must be at the growth stage, with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or a live product, strong customer traction, and a focus on solving African challenges, especially in underserved or rural communities. Preference is given to startups serving rural or underserved communities.
Participants in the programme will receive a variety of benefits. They will receive grant funding of $65,000 per cohort, cloud credits, technical advisory support, and one-on-one mentorship with industry experts. The initiative also provides technical integration and access to MTN's powerful infrastructure, utilising MoMo, Chenosis APIs, and strategic go-to-market (GTM) support.
In addition to these benefits, participants will receive investor pitch coaching and warm VC introductions, as well as sales and GTM support from MTN teams. Post-programme support includes pilots, partnerships, and M&A readiness. The programme aims to help startups scale faster by leveraging MTN Cloud.
The application deadline for the 2025 cohort is August 15, 2025. Interested startups can apply without being MTN customers. The programme will culminate in a demo day with MTN, investors, and media.
