Steffi Buchli Joins Axel Springer to Drive 'Bild' and 'Sport Bild' Innovation

Steffi Buchli has joined Axel Springer, taking on new roles at 'Bild' and 'Sport Bild'. Marion Horn, Springer's CEO, welcomed her with a call for 'more speed, more excellence, more video, more Steffi'.

Buchli brings a wealth of experience to her new position. She previously served as the sports editor-in-chief at the 'Blick' group and program chief at MySportsCH. Horn praised her expertise in both linear and digital moving images, as well as her strong background in sports journalism.

Buchli will focus on implementing AI and enhancing video content at 'Bild' and 'Sport Bild'. She aims to make newsrooms 'future-proof', adapting to the changing media landscape. Buchli announced her switch to Springer on LinkedIn and her move to Axel Springer on October 1, 2025.
