Oklo and Liberty Energy Team Up to Power Data Centers with Advanced Nuclear Energy

Stock Prices Climb for OKLO Due to Partnerships with Liberty Energy and Vertiv: The Advancement of Nuclear Power through Strategic Alliances

Oklo Inc., a pioneering company in the field of compact fast fission reactors, has partnered with Liberty Energy Inc. to provide clean, reliable, and integrated nuclear energy and cooling systems for businesses with high energy needs, such as data centers and heavy industries.

Oklo is developing the Aurora Powerhouse, a 75MW fast neutron reactor using metallic fuel and heat pipes, designed for modular deployment near data centers. These advanced nuclear power plants generate reliable, carbon-free electricity and significant residual heat.

The partnership with Liberty Energy brings natural gas generators and electric load management platforms into the mix, enhancing energy flexibility and grid independence for data centers during the transition while federal regulatory approvals for Oklo’s reactors proceed. This integration helps future-proof data center operations by combining nuclear power with adaptable energy management strategies.

In addition, Oklo has partnered with Vertiv, a global leader in critical infrastructure for digital services, to develop new power and cooling systems for next-gen data centers. Vertiv collaborates with Oklo to co-develop modular energy-efficient solutions that leverage the heat produced by Oklo’s reactors to run absorption chillers and other cooling technologies for data centers. This integrated approach aims to reduce cooling energy consumption by 10-20%, improve overall energy efficiency, and support the high power density demands of emerging AI and high-performance computing workloads.

The first commercial demonstration using Oklo’s nuclear technology to power a data center environment is planned at the Idaho National Laboratory site, with commercial operation targeted for late 2027 or early 2028. This marks a critical step toward validating advanced nuclear power as a scalable zero-carbon energy solution for hyperscale data centers and other industries with heavy compute demands.

Oklo Inc. (NYSE: OKLO) is emerging as a key player in nuclear energy innovation. With a focus on creating systems that are efficient, modular, and eco-friendly, using Oklo’s clean nuclear energy as the main power source, the company aims to transform data center power procurement by providing clean, reliable, and integrated nuclear energy and cooling systems that significantly enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprints in the growing digital economy.

Recent developments include Oklo submitting a combined license application for an advanced reactor to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Oklo's stock jumping 12% after announcing its partnership with Liberty Energy, and the U.S. Air Force signing a deal with Oklo for nuclear energy solutions. These milestones demonstrate growing investor confidence in Oklo's innovative approach to nuclear energy.
