Suzuki Motorcycles India Achieved More Than 113,000 Sales in July 2025
Suzuki Motorcycle India is preparing for a busy year ahead, with a host of new models set to hit the market in 2025. The Japanese automobile giant, which began operations in India in 2006, is focusing on customer satisfaction and market responsiveness as it unveils its latest offerings.
In July 2024, Suzuki recorded total sales of 1,16,714 units, comprising 1,00,602 units domestically and 16,112 units in exports. This upswing in sales continues into 2025, with retail sales in the domestic market standing at 93,141 units in July 2025, representing a 14% year-on-year increase from 81,730 units sold in July 2024.
Deepak Mutreja, Vice President - Sales & Marketing at Suzuki Motorcycle India, expressed appreciation for the brand's loyal customer base. "We are committed to ensuring a seamless ownership experience while maintaining our sales momentum," he said.
Some of the upcoming Suzuki bikes include the RM Z250, Katana, Avenis, Burgman Street Electric, Gixxer 250, Intruder 250, and the highly anticipated 2026 GSX-R1000R.
The Suzuki Katana, with a displacement of 999 cc, offers 23 kmpl and is priced at ₹ 13.61 Lakhs. The Suzuki Avenis, on the other hand, boasts a displacement of 124 cc, offers 55 kmpl, and is priced at ₹93,200. The Suzuki RM Z250 has a displacement of 249.0 cc, offers 30.0 kmpl, and is priced at ₹ 7.10 Lakhs.
Suzuki's strategy for the Indian market involves strengthening both premium petrol-powered motorcycles and electric scooters. The Suzuki e Access, an electric scooter targeted at the premium 125cc scooter segment, is likely to be priced around Rs. 1.10 lakh ex-showroom. The Burgman Street Electric, an upcoming electric bike, is priced between ₹ 1.05 - 1.20 Lakhs.
The 2026 GSX-R1000R, a major upgrade and part of Suzuki's 40th Anniversary Edition, is also expected to launch in 2025. This updated version of the iconic superbike features refreshed styling and engine, positioning it as a flagship model celebrating Suzuki's legacy in superbikes.
Suzuki Motorcycle India's operations are a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation. The Gurugram plant, with an annual capacity of 1.3 million units, produces a range of products, including 125cc scooters, premium motorcycles (150cc and above), and big bikes tailored for Indian conditions.
