'Tarkov' Escape Update Sufferings from Technical Glitches, Leading to Misplaced Equipment

The debut of the latest Escape From Tarkov server reset and patch has been met with a variety of technical difficulties, leading to players losing equipment, gaining access to restricted areas, and encountering troubles entering raids.

Having gone live earlier today, the latest Escape From Tarkov server reset has been largely applauded due to the fresh content, but it has also been heavily criticized for the technical glitches, causing experienced streamers to label it as the worst wipe in a while.

Besides dealing with the usual server problems resulting in long wait times and frequent disconnections, players are also battling with more serious tech issues. Players worldwide are complaining about excessive lag spikes and stutters which are not only annoying but also affect gameplay significantly.

Unfortunately, many players also reported losing gear and missing out on earning rewards upon extraction due to server issues, while others died in raids only to find themselves back at the main menu with their inventory intact. One such instance is Pestily, who lost a valuable LedX due to a bug that credited him with XP from his previous raid.

However, the tech issues did not end there, as another popped up shortly after the wipe began. According to the patch notes for the Escape From Tarkov 0.16.0.0 update, the flea market was supposed to be closed for the initial two weeks of the wipe to address one of Tarkov's main concerns in recent wipes: the swift development experienced by hardcore players.

Upon launch, some players discovered to their surprise that the flea market was alive and well, allowing plenty of extremely rare items to be up for sale, potentially providing an unmatched advantage to those who purchased such items.

The game was then taken offline and the flea market was wiped out for the next couple of weeks, as promised. However, it seems that those who had already acquired items were still able to keep them, while a secondary server reset could have been a better solution considering how quickly the issue was discovered.

During the TarkovTV live stream at the time, Game Director Nikita Buyanov acknowledged that the game was under a DDOS attack. However, the timing of the attack raised some eyebrows as it occurred just minutes after the flea market issue was discovered.

If you're considering diving into the new Escape From Tarkov server reset, it might be prudent to wait a day or two for the issues to be ironed out, ensuring a smoother gaming experience. Alternatively, you can experience the rewards by waiting until the end of the year to earn some Twitch Drops that will enhance your initial raids thanks to the rarity of the items distributed.

Despite the technical difficulties, some players found a way to exploit the issue, wiping their bugs and unwanted flea market items using a specific in-game action, known as 'wiping', allowing them to 'escape' the consequences of the recent server reset in Tarkov. However, this temporary fix may not last long, as the developers are likely to address this loophole in future patches.
