TCS and Qualcomm Collaborate to Establish Innovation Lab in Bengaluru
In a move to streamline processes at large enterprises, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Qualcomm have announced the establishment of a co-innovation lab in Bengaluru. This lab will focus on developing customised, low-cost solutions that can be deployed on intelligent devices, in real-time, and on location.
The TCS Innovation Lab will be equipped with a 5G private network infrastructure and high-tech network and equipment, making it an ideal space for the development of agile Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. Sectors such as security and surveillance, healthcare, smart infrastructure, and manufacturing are expected to benefit significantly from this collaboration.
Savi Soin, Senior Vice President & President at Qualcomm India, stated that the aim is to develop solutions that are cost-effective, efficient, scalable, and tailored to the needs of enterprises looking to modernise and grow in a software-defined world.
The lab will leverage the Software Defined Everything (SDx) framework, an approach that enables rapid prototyping, testing, and large-scale deployment of smart, scalable, and sustainable Edge AI solutions. These solutions will utilise Qualcomm platforms and 5G private network infrastructure to create customised, low-cost, real-time applications deployed on intelligent devices. The goal is to enhance efficiency and resilience in industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, security, and smart infrastructure.
The TCS Innovation Lab in Bengaluru will serve as a space where advanced AI and connectivity meet real-world challenges. Through this collaboration, Tata Consultancy Services and Qualcomm aim to co-create smart, scalable, and sustainable Edge AI capabilities.
