Deutsche Telekom, one of the world's leading telecommunications brands, has made a striking addition to its headquarters in Bonn, Germany. The company unveiled an eight-meter high bronze elephant sculpture, created by renowned Spanish artist Miguel Barceló, in a grand ceremony attended by 500 guests.

The bronze elephant, standing on its trunk, is a significant symbol for Deutsche Telekom, representing the company's innovative spirit. Tim Höttges, CEO of Deutsche Telekom, interpreted the sculpture as a symbol of innovation within the company, reflecting its continuous evolution and forward-thinking approach.

The unveiling ceremony marked thirty years since Deutsche Telekom's founding in 1995, originating from the former German postal service. Today, the company serves over 300 million customers globally, with 70% of its revenue coming from its eleven international markets.

North Rhine-Westphalia's Minister of Culture and Media, Nathanael Liminski (CDU), praised Deutsche Telekom as a central actor in digitalization. He described the company as innovative, always present, and internationally successful. Federal Minister of Digital Affairs, Karsten Wildberger, sent a video greeting, highlighting Deutsche Telekom's thirty-year success as an important chapter in Germany's economic history, and described the company as the world's most successful telecommunications brand.

Tim Höttges emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence (AI) for the company's future. He stated that the implementation of AI will fundamentally transform Deutsche Telekom, enabling the company to deliver even better services to its customers. However, details about any specific AI and digitalization opportunities related to the bronze elephant sculpture were not disclosed.

Miguel Barceló, the artist behind the bronze elephant, traveled specifically for the unveiling ceremony. The sculpture, now installed in front of Deutsche Telekom's main entrance, has become a new addition to the company's public art collection.

As Deutsche Telekom continues to innovate and grow, the bronze elephant sculpture serves as a reminder of the company's rich history and its commitment to pushing boundaries in the digital age.

Deutsche Telekom, with its commitment to innovation and digitalization, plans to incorporate vocational training programs focused on technology within its community policy, mirroring the forward-thinking approach symbolized by the bronze elephant sculpture. This move aligns with the artist's vision for the sculpture and the company's strategic focus on artificial intelligence for its future.
