Tesla Expands Live Activities: Now Monitor Mobile Service Visits on iPhone Lock Screen

Tesla has enhanced its mobile service experience for iPhone users with the introduction of Live Activities. This new feature allows owners to monitor their service visit's progress directly from their iPhone's Lock Screen or Dynamic Island.

Previously, Tesla offered Live Activities for Supercharging, enabling owners to track charging progress without unlocking their phones. Now, the company has expanded this functionality to cover mobile service appointments.

The new Service Live Activity provides real-time updates, including the technician's estimated time of arrival, current status (e.g., en route), estimated time of completion, and confirmation of service completion. This allows owners to stay informed without opening the Tesla app or checking notifications. Tesla aims to further expand this feature to include Roadside Assistance and cabin preconditioning in the future.

Tesla's commitment to improving owner convenience is evident in its ongoing integration efforts between vehicles and the mobile app. While there's no specific mobile service for iPhone integration beyond charging and mobile service visits currently, speculative features like the Pi Phone could potentially offer more integrations in the future. Meanwhile, Google's upcoming Live Updates with Android 16 might also be adopted by Tesla once widely available.
