Tesla Opens Faster Supercharger Station in Kelowna, BC
Tesla has expanded its charging network in British Columbia with the opening of a new Supercharger station in Kelowna. The station, located along Highway 97 at Orchard Park Mall at 2271 Harvey Avenue, began construction in February 2025 and became operational on Wednesday.
This new V4 Supercharging station features 16 Superchargers and boasts a power output of up to 325 kW, making it one of the faster charging installations in the Okanagan Valley. The station offers tiered pricing for Tesla electric vehicle (EV) owners, with rates starting as low as $0.34/kWh overnight and early mornings. Rates peak at $0.52/kWh between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, before dropping to $0.46/kWh in the evening from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
For non-Tesla EV owners, rates are higher, ranging from $0.48/kWh overnight to as much as $0.72/kWh during the day.
The Kelowna Supercharger is the third in the city and one of multiple recent installations in British Columbia. Other recent Tesla Supercharger installations in the province can be found in Hope, Nakusp, and Blind Bay. Tesla has also opened a new 16-stall V4 Supercharger station in Milton, Ontario this week.
The new Kelowna Supercharger is now live and operational, providing an important charging option for electric vehicle drivers travelling through the area. With its fast charging capabilities and convenient location near Orchard Park Mall, the new station is set to be a valuable addition to the region's charging infrastructure.
