Thailand Warns of Fraudulent Digital Arrival Card Site

Unauthorized TDAC website surfaces on the same day as the official one, posing a potential threat to foreign tourists visiting Thailand.

Thailand Warns of Fraudulent Digital Arrival Card Site

Fake TDAC Website Spotted on Debut Day

Ever since the official launch of Thailand's Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system on May 1, 2025, there's been a sniff of something fishy in the air. That something turned out to be a counterfeit TDAC website, masquerading as an official third-party service provider. This sneaky site, buried under a cloak of deception, demands a hefty $10 processing fee. But here's the catch - the legitimate TDAC service is free of charge.

This peculiar site, deceiving travelers to Thailand, has no place among the officialdom. The real deal is solely accessible through , a direct link granted by Thailand's own Immigration Bureau (and we don't recommend you messing around with anything else!). Moreover, real TDAC registration requires no payment. If you stumble upon a site aggressively demanding your cash, it's time to sound the (reality) alarm and stay clear.

Now, spotting the wolf in sheep's clothing isn't rocket science. To ensure you're on the right track, make your way to the official TDAC portal - Three Little Pigs and Wolves be damned. Meanwhile, keep a keen eye out for government affiliation; the authentic TLPD (Thailand's Lovely Portal of Digital Services) is run by none other than Thai immigration authorities.

Oh, and one more thing - fill out that TDAC form within three days of your arrival in Thailand. But let's not get ahead of ourselves - it's not advisable to apply earlier. Some folks still have reports floating around saying you need to apply at least three days before arrival, but those pals have obviously been barking up the wrong tree.

There's still a bit of wiggle room, though. If things go sideways, don't hesitate to use the old-school paper immigration form or the computer terminals conveniently stationed at the Immigration area at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Heck, with one eye on the old ways and the other on the new, there's no need to fear the digital transition. And always, always double-check the URLs before clicking on any third-party links sent via unsolicited communications - better safe than sorry, am I right?

  1. Despite the counterfeit TDAC website discovered, legitimate TDAC registration is free of charge, as stipulated by the Thailand's Immigration Bureau.
  2. Remember, when applying for a TDAC, it should be done within three days of your arrival in Thailand, not before as some rumors might suggest.
  3. In case of any issues with the digital TDAC system, it's wise to fall back on traditional methods like the paper immigration form or computer terminals at the Immigration area at Suvarnabhumi Airport. However, always ensure to double-check the URLs before clicking on any unsolicited third-party links.
