Thermal Master P3: New Portable Thermal Camera for PCB Diagnostics
The Thermal Master P3, a lightweight and portable thermal camera, is now available for purchase. Priced at $299, it offers a range of features for swift diagnostic work on printed circuit boards.
The P3 boasts 15 different thermal measurement modes and smart temperature alarms for instant feedback. Its base infrared resolution of 256 x 192 pixels can be boosted to 512 x 384 in X3IR super-resolution mode, enhancing its diagnostic capabilities.
Designed for inspecting and diagnosing faults on PCBs, the P3 can detect ultra-low leakages for pinpointing micro-scale short circuits and monitoring board-level anomalies. It has an 8mm macro lens with a manual focus system for close-up imaging of small components. The camera can detect and differentiate temperatures from -20 - 600°C (-4°F - 1112°F) to an accuracy of ±2°C, and can detect leakages as low as 1mA.
