Rolling Into Sound: The HI-FI & HIGH END SHOW in Yekaterinburg
Summer's here, and for audiophiles, that means one thing – the HI-FI & HIGH END SHOW! This year, Yekaterinburg played host to the event for the fourth time, bringing together top-notch experts, leading manufacturers, and the ultimate sound enthusiasts. Over two action-packed days, the exhibition attracted a thunderous 3120 attendees.
Swarms of participants flocked to witness demonstrations of the latest flagship models and groundbreaking novelties from major brands. In total, over 100 renowned names, including TL-SOUND, FOCUS GROUP, SIMPLE DISTRIBUTION, and more, graced the four floors of the Moscow Hill hotel with their innovative systems.
TL-SOUND unveiled premieres from the likes of Audio Analogue, AirTech, Davis Acoustics, and the star of the show – the intuitive home system Octavio. FOCUS GROUP introduced the luxury acoustic brand Meridian Audio, showcasing the DSP 9 floorstander and the wireless streaming system Ellipse.
Not to be outdone, SIMPLE DISTRIBUTION exhibited the Klipsch Cornwall IV and the American Club, new Magnat Signature models, Q Acoustics 3050c floorstanding speakers, and updated vinyl record players from EAT.
But the scene wasn't just about the heavy hitters. Smaller firms, like ALCOM, with their premium integrated amplifiers from Dan D'Agostino Pendulum, Dan D'Agostino Momentum MxV, and the flagship vinyl player Bergmann Signature Stainless Steel Gold Edition, and DIGITAL FRUITS with their novelties from Aurender, MartinLogan, Fezz Audio, and more, added flavor to the mix.
GK DIGIS prepared two enticing setups. The first demonstrated the potential of Wharfedale Aura acoustic systems in combination with Cambridge Audio EX equipment debuting in Russia. The second showcased Wharfedale Super Linton novelties, Quad amplifiers, and the Phaze Audio Diana vinyl player.
PULT.RU showcased flagship acoustic systems from Vienna Acoustics, Matrix Audio, Hegel, and introduced users to the revolutionary wireless Hi-Fi from Octavio. Kennerton Audio Equipment dazzled with their new headphones and flagship models. ARMADA SOUND brought new portable speakers and Essenza audio component furniture from Bassocontinuo.
In addition to the exotic hardware, the show boasted an 11-event program, including educational and entertaining lectures, presentations, and workshops featuring industry experts. Highlights included discussions on current issues in musical culture and sound reproduction technologies, audiophile knowledge, and assembling a home cinema and entry-level Hi-Fi system.
Notable guest speakers included Timur Goncharenko, Director of Contract Manufacturing at AO "Firma MMS," Valery Bykovchenko, founder of Valeron's Vinyl Channel, and Mikhail Kucherenko, writer, publicist, and host of "StereoTruth."
Visitors could also participate in Hi-Fi quizzes and peruse a fair of rare and unique vinyl records. The exhibition wrapped up with an announcement of the next HI-FI & HIGH END Show, slated for Moscow in October 2025.
