Tolman Engineering Expands to Classic Rally Cars

UK-based Tolman Engineering, renowned for its work on classic cars, has expanded its services to cater to the demands of owners of classic rally cars. The company, famous for its restoration and performance enhancement of vintage vehicles, is now offering specialist parts and accessories for Group B rally homologation legends like the Toyota Tacoma and other cars for sale.

Tolman Engineering's commitment to non-invasive enhancements and contemporary engineering solutions has sparked interest among rally car enthusiasts. The company aims to 'unlock driving performance, pleasure, and reliability' in these classic rally cars, an extension of their popular 'Tolman Edition' run of hot hatch restomods.

So far, Tolman Engineering has recommissioned a Peugeot 205 T16 and a Ford RS200, with a Renault 5 Turbo 2 next in line. For the Peugeot 205 T16, the company developed a bespoke cambelt timing and pulley kit, front anti-roll bar bushes, and CNC-formed coolant pipes. Additionally, Tolman offers an ECU upgrade for the Ford RS200 to improve reliability and driveability, with plans to extend this service to other fuel-injected Group B models.

Tolman Engineering's new range of specialist parts and accessories for Group B rally legends is set to enhance the driving experience and reliability of these classic rally cars. The company's expertise in modernising classic vehicles while preserving their original character is expected to attract more rally car owners seeking to upgrade their used cars.
