Trina Solar Powers Spain's Largest Bifacial Project with 670W Modules
Trina Solar has made a significant stride in Spain's solar energy sector. The company has supplied 670W bifacial solar modules to a 379 MW project in Alcántara, Spain. These modules, part of the Vertex series, boast an impressive efficiency of up to 21.6% and can generate more power than conventional modules.
The modules' high efficiency is attributed to their use of high-efficiency monocrystalline cells and high-density encapsulation technology. This design allows for up to 28 modules in a string, resulting in a 34% power increase compared to other reference modules. The Vertex series can achieve a power output of up to 670W+, even in low irradiation conditions, thanks to an excellent temperature coefficient.
Gonzalo de la Viña, Trina Solar's Head of Europe, expressed the company's commitment to supporting Europe's sustainable energy goals. He highlighted the economic viability of investing in renewable power and praised the Alcántara project for its leadership in solar innovation. The project's use of high-power bifacial modules has set a regional standard for solar power generation.
Trina Solar's Vertex series modules have proven their worth in the Alcántara project, demonstrating high power, efficiency, reliability, and power generation. With an efficiency of up to 21.6% and a power output of up to 670W+, these modules are a testament to Trina Solar's commitment to innovation and sustainability. The company continues to invest in renewable energy, making it an attractive option for both economic and environmental reasons.
