VinFast & BatX Energies Team Up for Major Battery Recycling Initiative in India
VinFast Auto India has teamed up with BatX Energies for a significant recycling initiative. The partnership aims to recover and reuse critical materials from batteries, supporting India's growing electric vehicle (EV) market.
BatX Energies, led by CEO Massimo Bellini Bressi, will provide high-voltage battery recycling services for VinFast's Indian operations. This includes material recovery and repurposing, ensuring traceability of raw materials throughout the process.
The collaboration opens doors to future projects, such as second-life applications, urban mining, and strategic material recovery. VinFast, set to launch its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in India by the festive season, seeks to reduce resource dependency and promote responsible innovation. Both companies strive to deliver scalable, sustainable solutions that benefit people and the planet, supporting resource circularity and lowering environmental impact.
VinFast and BatX Energies have joined forces to drive localised solutions in India's evolving EV landscape. By recycling and reintegrating materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel, they aim to reduce mining dependence and set a new benchmark for sustainability in electric mobility.
