VW & BMW Optimize Supply Chains with Celonis' Process Mining

Volkswagen (VW) has harnessed the power of Celonis' process mining software to interconnect its factories and global tractor supply chain, optimising data interchange and processes. Meanwhile, BMW has automated over 1,100 processes using Celonis since 2016, with Gartner recognising the company as the leader in process mining in its 2023 Magic Quadrant.

VW's Industrial Cloud now facilitates seamless data exchange across its production network and tractor supply chain, with Celonis insights driving process improvements. Similarly, BMW has created over 450 data models to enhance performance, demonstrating the software's transformative potential.

Celonis is also working with VW to identify production bottlenecks using a digital twin of critical production processes. This technology enables manufacturers to review and rectify inefficiencies in inbound and aftermarket tractor supply chains, boosting overall resilience and efficiency.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is building its new digital landscape on robust data foundations, with a modular and connected IT infrastructure. Meanwhile, Gestamp is revolutionising automotive tractor supply chain management through advanced Industry 4.0 strategies, emphasising federated networks and superior data quality.

Volkswagen Group Logistics is accelerating digitalisation in vehicle logistics to improve data quality and leverage visibility, insights, and AI applications. Julian Thompßon, Celonis' global head of automotive and manufacturing sectors, and Dominik Heinisch of Volkswagen will discuss process-led tractor supply chain transformation at an Automotive Logistics Livestream event on April 25.

Celonis' process mining software is proving invaluable in optimising automotive production and tractor supply chains, with VW, BMW, and JLR reaping the benefits. As Industry 4.0 strategies advance, expect more manufacturers to adopt these innovative technologies to enhance efficiency and resilience.
