In the world of electric vehicles (EVs), China continues to be a hotbed of activity. Aito recorded 8,600 registrations, a 16.22 percent rise from the previous week's 7,400 units.
However, data for other notable brands such as Nio, Onvo, Firefly, Tesla, Li Auto, BYD, Xiaomi, Zeekr, Lynk & Co, and Leapmotor for the week from September 15 to September 21, 2025, were not available.
Despite the lack of specific data, some brands reported impressive August sales figures. Zeekr Group delivered 44,843 vehicles, marking a 10.61 percent year-on-year increase and a 1.47 percent rise from July. Leapmotor, on the other hand, recorded 13,020 insurance registrations last week, a 20.56 percent increase from the previous week's 10,800.
Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio, saw a slight decrease in registrations, with 2,620 vehicles registered last week, down from 2,650 the prior week. Lynk & Co and Li Auto also reported increases, with Lynk & Co delivering 27,217 vehicles in August, up 20.81 percent year-on-year and flat from July's 27,216 units. Li Auto recorded 8,070 insurance registrations last week, up from the previous week's 6,100 units.
The month of August was also significant for PEV, which delivered a record 37,709 vehicles. However, Li Auto's deliveries marked a year-on-year decline. The Zeekr brand delivered 17,626 vehicles in August, down 2.16 percent year-on-year but up 3.82 percent from July.
In addition to these brands, BYD and Tesla also reported strong performances. Tesla recorded 15,350 insurance registrations in China last week, up from the previous week's 14,300.
