WhatsApp introduces the new "remember me" option: a guide for usage.
WhatsApp, the popular messaging app, has introduced a new feature called the "Remind Me" button. This is not an advertisement but a new functionality designed to help users better organize their conversations.
The "Remind Me" feature allows users to set a reminder for themselves to respond to a postponed or lost message. To use this feature, simply enter a chat or group, press and hold the message you want to respond to, and the button will appear.
The button serves as a reminder to respond to a postponed or lost message. Users can check if the "Remind Me" feature has appeared on their account. It's important to note that only the user can see and modify this configuration. The use of the "Remind Me" feature does not send notifications to contacts. No one will know that a WhatsApp message has been marked with the "Remind Me" feature.
The "Remind Me" feature is currently available in version 25.25.74 of iOS. It's starting to reach iOS and Android users, but due to its recent introduction, availability depends on your app version, device, and region. You might need to update WhatsApp to the latest version or wait for the feature to reach your device through an official update.
Users can set a reminder for the "Remind Me" feature either every 8 or 24 hours. The feature aims to help users manage their conversations more efficiently. For instance, if you've set a reminder and forget to respond, WhatsApp will notify you that you have a pending message to respond to based on the reminder you set.
The "Remind Me" feature is expected to be available on the rest of the Android and iOS devices soon. If you're a user with an older version of the app, you'll have to wait to use this feature.
