In the heart of Germany, the city of Wiesbaden has taken a significant step forward in digitalising its administrative services, offering citizens an innovative and enjoyable experience. The city's groundbreaking online service, "Passierschein A38", has been lauded for its user-friendly approach and playful design, reminiscent of the beloved Asterix comics characters.

The "Passierschein A38" is an online platform that allows citizens to explore and test all functions of a digital administrative process without actually submitting an application. This service, available both in Wiesbaden and Mönchengladbach, serves as a valuable tool for users to familiarise themselves with digital administrative services, making it easier for them to navigate and interact with digital government systems.

One of the key features of the "Passierschein A38" is its integration with the BundID, a federal digital identity service. This integration provides citizens with a secure and unified access point for various digital administrative services, simplifying administrative processes by automatically filling in personal data in forms, reducing processing times and errors.

Maral Koohestanian, the deputy mayor for Smart City, Europe and Order in Wiesbaden, hailed the "Passierschein A38" as an example of how digital administration can be tailored to the needs of citizens. She stated, "The 'Passierschein A38' demonstrates how digital administration can be made accessible, efficient, and user-friendly for our citizens."

During its first weekend, approximately 50 citizens in Wiesbaden tested the service, with initial users receiving a "Passierschein power bank" at the WI-Box in the city centre as a reward. This accolade underscores the city's commitment to providing digital services that are not only functional but also enjoyable for its citizens.
