WK cheating exposed: ingenious deception method unveiled by an individual on live broadcast

In the East Kazakhstan region, an 18-year-old local resident has been detained for an unusual fraud scheme involving live streams on social media platforms. The Department of Internal Affairs of the region is responsible for the investigation of these activities.

According to the investigation, the suspect gained access to victims' accounts by monitoring live streams and obtaining SMS codes for accessing messengers. The obtained SMS codes were then used to log into victims' Instagram accounts. Once inside, the suspect used the access to send messages to the victims' contacts asking for loans.

The victims were residents of the East Kazakhstan region, and five regional residents fell victim to these fraudulent activities. The amounts received from these activities were transferred to the suspect's accounts.

A criminal case has been opened under the article "Fraud" in relation to the suspect from the East Kazakhstan region. The investigation is also examining the suspect's involvement in other similar crimes.

The investigation into the suspect's activities is ongoing. At this time, the search results do not contain information about the suspect charged by the cyber police in the East Kazakhstan region for this scheme.

Law enforcement encouraged the use of two-factor authentication to protect accounts and reminded Kazakhstani citizens to refrain from showing SMS codes or other notifications on camera during online broadcasts on Instagram. They also advised against voicing or publishing personal data such as ID number, bank card number, phone number, and address during online broadcasts.

This case is part of a larger international cyber fraud channel disruption, a joint operation by the cyber police of the MVD of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. The authorities urge the public to remain vigilant and to take precautions to protect their personal information online.
